Which state contracts do you help clients manage?
We work with agencies with General Child Care and Development (CCTR) and California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contracts, as well as agencies that take private pay and alternative payment (AP) tuition.
Do you only work with schools with state contracts?
No, we support all types of ECE agencies, whether you have a CCTR contract, CSPP contract, AP contracts, or no subsidized contracts at all.
Do you submit my quarterly Enrollment, Attendance, and Fiscal reports to CDSS and CDE?
We prepare the books and enter the enrollment and fiscal data into CDPR and/or CPARIS for you. All you have to do is review the numbers and certify the report.
How long is onboarding?
Most clients onboard within two to four weeks, depending on systems, access, and Frontier Accounting capacity.
Can you replace internal accounting staff?
It depends. For most businesses that have less than $5M in revenue, Frontier Accounting can provide a full-service accounting solution. If your organization is much larger than that, we can work with your current internal staff by providing fractional controller services. If you're not sure what we can do for your business, we're happy to talk through it with you.
Do you file taxes?
We focus on what we do best: bookkeeping, compliance, and controller-level support. While we don’t offer income tax preparation directly, we partner with a trusted network of CPAs who specialize in tax filing. If you need tax services, we’ll gladly connect you with the right expert so all of your accounting needs are covered.
My state contract/bank/lender requires that a CPA audit my financial statements. Do you do these audits?
We make sure you’re audit-ready. While we don’t perform financial statement audits ourselves, we partner with a trusted network of auditors and can connect you with the right fit. Our role is to prepare your books, coordinate with the auditors, and make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
